Roberto Luongo begins his second stint as the starter in Vancouver tonight when the Canucks host the Edmonton Oilers at Rogers Arena.

Last season, Luongo started the season as the backup to Cory Schneider, awaiting a trade that would never materialize. Then at the NHL Draft in June, the Canucks traded Schneider to the New Jersey Devils, making Luongo the starter once again.

"I was kind of floored to be honest with you," Luongo told TSN's James Duthie about the trade. "Out of all the situations that I envisioned, that wasn't one of them. I had moved on from Vancouver and I was ready to start a fresh new chapter of my career somewhere else.

"It felt like a divorce, I accepted it and I had moved on personally. The only problem was she wanted me back."

Henrik and Daniel Sedin will also be in the lineup for tonight's game while head coach John Tortorella will not be behind bench but watching from the press box as he continues to assess the players on the ice.

The Oilers are coming off a 3-2 loss at the hands of the Winnipeg Jets last night. The Oilers fell behind 3-0 before Mitchell Moroz and Philip Larsen scored late in the game to make it close. Richard Bachman stopped 26 of 29 shots for Edmonton.
