The Detroit Red Wings will get a big boost with the return of one of their leading scorers.

Swedish forward Johan Franzen has been cleared to play for Game Two of the Stanley Cup Final Monday night against the Pittsburgh Penguins. Franzen has been suffering from concussion-like syndromes and has not played since Game One of the Western Conference Final against the Dallas Stars.

Franzen competed in a full practice Sunday and appeared ready to go.

"It's better, I don't feel anything anymore.  It's good.  There will be so much adrenaline, it doesn't matter what shape you're in," Franzen said Sunday.

Detroit head coach Mike Babcock initially ruled Franzen out for the game tonight, but the veteran forward received late medical clearance and will indeed be in the lineup.

Despite being out for the last six games, Franzen is tied for the NHL lead with 12 playoff goals with teammate Henrik Zetterberg.
