BARRIE, Ont. - To say Matt Caria carried the offensive load for the Greyhounds Thursday would be gross understatement.
Caria scored all of Sault Ste. Marie's goals - his first four of the season, including the overtime-winner - as the Greyhounds defeated the Barrie Colts 4-3 in Ontario Hockey League action.
Caria scored his first three goals in consecutive order, with his third coming on the power play to give the Greyhounds (3-1-1) a 3-2 lead going into the third period.
Alex Hutchings tied in for the Colts at 1:40 in the third. Mitch Lebar and Stefan Della Rovere also scored in the first period for Barrie (2-1-1).
Elsewhere in the OHL action, it was: Spitfires 5 Petes 1; and Bulls 3 IceDogs 2 (SO).
At Barrie, Ont., Greyhounds goalie Cody St. Jacques stopped 43-of-46 shots, while Peter Di Salvo made 30 saves from 34 shots for the Colts.
