The first semi-final ended in a bit of a shocker as the upstart Bobby Ryan beat the favoured Alex Ovechkin. Ryan will face Flames goalie Miikka Kiprusoff who easily dispatched Red Wings forward Johan Franzen in the second semi-final.

Franzen won Pool D, narrowly edging out Mike Ribeiro and Marty Turco in the most tightly contested matchup in the first round. But don't underestimate Franzen, or you'll end up looking like Habs defender Ryan O'Byrne.

Miikka Kiprusoff "Too Hot to Handle"

Kiprusoff ran away with Pool C, earning the win in arguably the most competitive pool in the first round. Kipper stole a sure-goal away from Kyle Wellwood, will he be able to steal the win from Franzen?
