Pittsburgh, PA (Sports Network) - The Cleveland Indians activated center fielder Grady Sizemore from the 15-day disabled list Tuesday.

In additional moves, the Indians recalled pitcher Tony Sipp from Triple-A Columbus, optioned outfielder Trevor Crowe to Triple-A and designated pitcher Luis Vizcaino for assignment.

Sizemore went to the DL with left elbow inflammation on May 31, after he had been dealing with discomfort in the elbow for most of the season. It was the first DL stay of his five-plus year MLB career.

In 49 games this season, Sizemore batted .223 with a .309 on-base percentage, nine home runs and 31 runs batted in.

Sipp will begin his third stint with the Indians this season. In 10 relief appearances, Sipp posted a 3.12 earned run average, with 10 strikeouts and 10 walks in 8 2/3 innings.

Crowe batted .169 in 30 games over two stints with Cleveland this season, while Vizcaino went 1-3 with a 5.40 ERA in 11 relief appearances.
