Drawing on lessons learned form three straight overtime losses, the Rimouski Oceanic managed to win one after regulation Tuesday night.
Emmanuel Boudreau scored his second goal of the game on a power-play 4:19 into the extra period as the Oceanic beat the Acadie-Bathurst Titan 5-4 in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.
The Oceanic are no stranger to overtime, having gone beyond regulation five times in 10 games so far this season.
Unfortunately for the Oceanic, they have had trouble closing out those games. After opening the season with a 4-3 overtime victory over Quebec, Rimouski lost their next three that went beyond 60 minutes.
With the Oceanic finally getting their second overtime win, they improved to 3-4-3 and moved into sole possession of second place in the East Division.
