After four seasons with the Carolina Hurricanes, forward Scott Walker is on the move.
The veteran winger has been traded to the Washington Capitals in exchange for a seventh-round pick.
In 32 games this season, the 36-year-old Walker has three goals and two assists with a minus- 5 rating. Since joining the Hurricanes via a July 2006 trade with Nashville, the Cambridge, Ont., native has scored 43 goals, earned 60 assists (103 points) and accumulated 222 penalty minutes in 213 regular-season games.
Walker has 149 goals, earned 245 assists and totaled 1,153 penalty minutes in 820 career regular-season games with Vancouver, Nashville and Carolina.
