Dallas Stars forward Richards has hip surgery

Dallas Stars forward Brad Richards underwent arthroscopic hip surgery yesterday to repair a small labrum tear.

Rehabilitation from this surgery usually requires 8 weeks.

The 29-year old recorded 24 goals and 67 assists in 80 games this season.
