NHL salary cap set at $59.4 million for 2010-11 season

The National Hockey League's salary cap has been set for the 2010-2011 season at $59.4 million.

The salary floor will be set at $43.4 million.

The league's cap - entering its sixth season under the current collective bargaining agreement - got a boost on Tuesday when the NHL Players' Association voted in favour of a five percent bump for next season.

Last season's cap was $56.8 million.
