The Montreal Canadiens signed a pair of restricted free agent forwards on Monday, agreeing to terms with Tom Pyatt and Benoit Pouliot.

Pyatt's contract is a one-way deal that will pay him $500,000 next season, while Pouliot's deal will pay him $1.375 million.

Pouliot recorded 15 goals and 9 assists in 39 games with the Canadiens after he was acquired from the Minnesota Wild for Guillaume Latendresse

The 24-year old was selected fourth overall by the Wild at the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.

Pyatt was part of the blockbuster deal with the New York Rangers that brought Scott Gomez to the Canadiens last summer in return for Christopher Higgins, Ryan McDonagh and Pavel Valentenko.

The 23-year old played 40 games for the Canadiens, picking up five points.
