Oilers bring back enforcer MacIntyre

The Edmonton Oilers have agreed to terms with enforcer Steve MacIntyre on a one-year contract.

MacIntyre, 29, re-joins the organization after being picked up on waivers by the Florida Panthers at the beginning of last season.

The 6-foot-5, 250-pound forward played a total of 22 games with the Oilers and Panthers last season, recording one assist and 24 penalty minutes. 

He also played 34 AHL games for Rochester, accumulating two assists and 86 penalty minutes.

MacIntyre, who hails from Brock, Saskatchewan, started his NHL career with the Oilers in 2008-09, scoring his first NHL goal against the Washington Capitals on January 13, 2009.
