The Edmonton Oilers have agreed to terms with goaltender Devan Dubnyk on a two-year, one-way contract worth $800,000 per season.
The 24-year-old Dubnyk was a first round (14th overall) draft pick of the Oilers in 2004. He saw his first action in the NHL last season, posting a 4-10-2 record with a 3.57 GAA and .889 save percentage over 19 games.
The 6'6'', 194 lbs goalie also saw some time in the American Hockey League with Edmonton's affiliate, the Springfield Falcons. In 33 games he had a 13-17-2 record, 3.02 GAA and .915 save percentage.
The Oilers issued a qualifying offer to the restricted free agent on June 28 in order to retain the Regina native's rights.
