The struggling Edmonton Eskimos will introduce Eric Tillman as their new general manager at a news conference on Tuesday, CFL on TSN Insider and Globe and Mail sports writer Dave Naylor reports.

He will fill the void left when Danny Maciocia was fired on July 31, after his team began the season at 1-4.

Tillman, 52, took his first CFL general manager's job with the B.C. Lions in 1993 before leaving to become the executive director of NFL Europe in 1995.

He returned to the CFL in 1997 as GM of the Toronto Argonauts.

Tillman was then named GM of the expansion Ottawa Renegades in 2002, a job he held until 2004 before being named GM of the Roughriders in 2007.

He stepped down as GM of the Riders in January after legal issues in Regina.

As a general manager, he has won three Grey Cups with three different teams; B.C. (1994), Toronto (1997) and Saskatchewan (2007).
