New Haven ATP event moves to North Carolina

Winston-Salem, NC (Sports Network) - The ATP World Tour's U.S. Open tuneup tournament in New Haven, Connecticut will move to Winston-Salem, North Carolina next year.

The August event had been held in New Haven for several years and was most- recently known as Pilot Pen Tennis. The tournament will now be staged in a new tennis facility on the campus of Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem. The 2011 edition will be held from August 21-27 and serve as a final tuneup for the U.S. Open.

The Winston-Salem facility will feature a 3,500-seat center court.
