Hemsky, Eberle to miss All-Star festivities with injuries Staff

They've been dropping like flies, and now you can add the Edmonton Oilers' Ales Hemsky and Jordan Eberle to the list of players missing out on the NHL All-Star festivities due to injury.

This comes on the heels of news that Jarome Iginla will be missing the game for personal reasons, while Penguins star players Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin are likely to sit out with injuries.

Hemsky is out with a concussion while Eberle, who was scheduled to participate in the Skills Competition as a rookie, has an ankle injury.

The All-Star game goes next Sunday in Raleigh, N.C.

The Oilers will still have some representation at the weekend, as rookie Taylor Hall will attend the skills competition.
