The Canadiens will assign MacIntyre to the AHL's Hamilton Bulldogs.
The 27-year-old MacIntyre posted a 12-5-1 record with a 2.91 goals-against average and a .906 save percentage in 20 games with the Chicago Wolves of the AHL this season. He was recalled by the Thrashers three time this season, but did not appear in a game. He played two games for the Vancouver Canucks in the 2007-08 season, posting a 0-1-0 record.
Festerling, 24, has three goals and 13 assists in 48 games this season with the Syracuse Crunch and Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League. He has six goals and 36 assists in 184 career AHL games with Portland, Iowa, San Antonio, Toronto, Syracuse and Hamilton. Festerling has also compiled eight assists in 83 NHL games with the Anaheim Ducks and saw action in one contest this season against the St. Louis Blues.
Festerling signed with Anaheim as a free agent in 2005 and last season the Ducks traded him and a fifth-round draft pick in 2012 to the Canadiens for Maxim Lapierre.
