Glendale, AZ (Sports Network) - Detroit Red Wings forward Henrik Zetterberg will sit out Monday's Game 3 of the team's Western Conference quarterfinal series against the Phoenix Coyotes.
Zetterberg hasn't played since April 6 because of a knee injury he suffered against Carolina on a check by defenseman Bryan Allen. He remains day-to-day.
The 2008 Conn Smythe Trophy winner, Zetterberg led the Red Wings in points with 24 goals and 56 assists this season.
Detroit carries a 2-0 advantage into Phoenix after capturing the first two games at Joe Louis Arena.
