The Tampa Bay Lightning re-signed defenceman Marc-Andre Bergeron to a two-year, one-way contract on Tuesday.

According to RDS, the deal is worth $2 million.

"We are pleased to keep Marc-Andre in the organization,"  vice president and general manager Steve Yzerman Yzerman said. "He played particularly well for us during the playoffs and his passing skills, as well as his shot, make him a valuable contributor to our team.  We look forward to having him at training camp."

The 30-year-old, who missed half of the 2010-11 season following knee surgery, recorded two goals and six assists with the club in 23 regular games.

During the Tampa's playoff run, he recorded two goals and one assist in 14 games.

Bergeron was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the Oilers on July 20, 2001.
