When the Ottawa Senators take to the ice tonight to face the Boston Bruins, they will do so without the NHL's leading goal scorer, Milan Michalek.
Senators head coach Paul MacLean confirmed on Wednesday that Michalek suffered a concussion during Tuesday's overtime win against the Buffalo Sabres. He is considered day-to-day.

Michalek, who leads the NHL with 19 goals, left with over five minutes remaining in the second period after colliding with teammate Erik Karlsson.

"I read the guy's pass and stepped up and I think [Michalek] was coming full speed to backcheck," Karlsson said. "I was only looking for their guys and not ours and we collided pretty hard there. We were both going forward."

Defenceman Sergei Gonchar missed his second game in a row with an upper-body injury on Tuesday and is day-to-day as Ottawa begins a four-game homestand against the Boston Bruins tonight.

You can watch the game live on TSN, and TSN Mobile TV at 7:30pm et/4:30pm pt, and live blog with fans on

Nick Foligno, who is second on Ottawa in goals with 10 and played in his 300th game last night, had a goal and two assists in the earlier meeting with the Bruins, while Craig Anderson allowed five goals on 41 shots.

Tim Thomas is expected to start in net for the Bruins, who are first in the Northeast Division. The Bruins, who shut out the Kings 3-0 on Tuesday night, will be without defenceman Zdeno Chara, who is expected to miss his team's games this week with a lower-body injury.
