The Pittsburgh Penguins received bad news on the injury front Sunday, as two of their key players will be out for a long period of time.

Centre Jordan Staal will be out 4-6 weeks with a knee injury and forward James Neal will be out indefinitely with a broken foot.

Staal suffered his injury after colliding knee-on-knee with Mike Rupp of the New York Rangers on Friday. One day later, Neal - the team's leading goal scorer - suffered a broken foot when he was hit by a shot in the third period against New Jersey.

Penguins head coach Dan Bylsma said Neal will be out for "weeks, not days."

Staal had 15 goals and 21 points for Pittsburgh through 34 games. Neal had 21 goals and 36 points in 40 games for the Pens.
