Sweden's Margaretha Sigfriddson downed Switzerland's Mirjam Ott 7-6 in an extra end in Friday's Page playoff between the top two seeds at the women's world curling championship.

Sweden punched their ticket to the final, while the Swiss will play in Saturday's semifinal to meet the winner between Canada and South Korea.

"I think it was one of our best games," Sigfriddson said. "We had such good energy."

Earlier in the day, Canada's Heather Nedohin defeated Allison Pottinger of the United States 9-8 in a tiebreaker to determine the fourth and final playoff spot.

The teams not in the final will play for the bronze medal Sunday morning.
