TAARNBY, Denmark -- Canada's Kelly Robertson was a 5-2 winner over Scotland's Keith Prentice on Friday, to advance to the semifinals at the world senior men's curling championship.
Canada will face Sweden's Connie Ostlund on Saturday. Norway and Ireland will meet in the other semifinal.
Robertson scored twice in the fifth end and added two more points in the eighth end for the win.
"I feel just fantastic. That was a battle out there tonight," said Robertson. "Scotland really played well -- they had a tough day today with two extra ends and tonight they played really solid. ...
"We've played solid all week and if we continue to do that then we'll be fine. But I realize everyone will be bringing their A-game because the prize is getting closer."
Norway advanced with a 6-3 win over Australia, Sweden edged New Zealand 5-4 to move on and Ireland cruised by Finland 8-4.
