MIAMI -- The Toronto Blue Jays recalled first baseman Adam Lind from triple-A on Sunday.

Lind was sent down to the minors in May after batting .186 with three home runs and 11 RBI in 34 games.

He returns to Toronto having hit .395 with eight homers and 29 RBIs in 31 games at batter-friendly triple-A Las Vegas.

Toronto also re-instated outfielder Ben Francisco from the 15-day disabled list.

To make room, the Jays optioned first baseman David Cooper and utility player Mike McCoy while moving injured pitcher Sergio Santos to the 60-day DL.

Toronto announced the roster moves following a 9-0 loss to the Miami Marlins.
