Toronto, ON (July 11, 2012) – TSN and Kraft Canada are headed to Newfoundland's east coast as Clarenville has been named the second winning community in this year's Kraft Celebration Tour.

As part of the Kraft Celebration Tour, Clarenville will host a special edition of SPORTSCENTRE featuring anchors Jay Onrait and Dan O'Toole when they kick off the Eastern leg of the tour and broadcast live from the Newfoundland community on Saturday, Aug. 18 at 6 p.m. ET on TSN.

Clarenville also receives $25,000 from Kraft Canada to put towards improvements to Elizabeth Swan Memorial Park, which was damaged by Hurricane Igor two years ago.

The sheltered waters of Trinity Bay provide an ideal port and a picturesque setting for the town of Clarenville and its population of 6,000.  The Elizabeth Swan Memorial Park is dedicated to the memory of Australian-native Elizabeth Swan, who moved to Clarenville in 1953.  She went on to become one of Newfoundland and Labrador's foremost figure skating pioneers after she established Clarenville's first figure skating club – the Flying Blades.

Clarenville joins Creston, B.C. as one of the 10 winning communities in the Kraft Celebration Tour.  Clarenville was named to the tour after winning a national, head-to-head online vote over Canning, Nova Scotia.  Clarenville brought home the victory with 385,717 votes, while Canning amassed a total of 354,727 votes in support of its nomination.

Canadians can decide the other winning communities for the Kraft Celebration Tour over the next two weeks.  One pair of communities is featured each weekday through July 20, and Canadians can visit KraftCelebrationTour.ca or Tourneedecelebrationkraft.ca to vote for their favourite communities.  Voting is unlimited and runs from 12 noon ET each day for a 24-hour period.
