The Edmonton Oilers have resumed preliminary talks with forward Taylor Hall's representatives on a contract extension, according to TSN's Edmonton bureau reporter Ryan Rishaug.
Hall, 20, is entering the final season of his three-year entry level contract. He is set to make $2.85 million for the 2012-13 campaign.
In 61 games with the Oilers last season, he scored a 27 goals and 53 points, up from the 22 goals and 42 points he tallied in his rookie campaign.
Hall was taken first overall by the Oilers in the 2010 NHL Draft.
