MONTREAL -- Antonin Decarie of Laval, Que., will defend his minor WBC International welterweight title against unbeaten American Alex Perez on Sept. 29 at the Foxwoods casino in Connecticut.

Decarie (26-1), ranked eighth by the WBC, won the belt with a 12-round unanimous decision over Victor Lupo on Dec. 17 in Quebec City.
