The Toronto Blue Jays have lost another arm from the starting rotation as left-hander J.A. Happ is expected to miss the rest of the 2012 season.
Jays general manager Alex Anthopoulos told TSN Radio 1050's Cybulski & Company on Friday that Happ has a fractured foot and will need to have screws inserted.
Recovery time for the injury is expected to be four months.
Since being acquired, Happ has posted a 3-2 record with a 4.46 earned-run average.
Happ is 35-35 lifetime in 116 appearances with the Jays, Astros and Philadelphia Phillies.
He was originally selected by the Phillies in the third round of the 2004 MLB Draft. He set a career-high in 2009 with 12 wins as a member of the Phillies.
