Another member of the NHLPA is headed overseas as Chicago Blackhawks forward Patrick Kane has signed a deal with EHC Biel of National League A in Switzerland.

The team made an official announcement on their website and the Buffalo, New York native confirmed the move on his verified twitter account.

"Excited and thankful to join EHC Biel in the Swiss league," said Kane via Twitter. "Looking forward to the experience."

Kane will join Boston Bruins forward Tyler Seguin, who agreed to a deal with the Swiss-based team last month.

According to his agent Pat Brisson, Kane will be fulfilling one more North American commitment before heading to Europe to resume his hockey career.

"Pat will be joining EHC Biel on Sunday. He is planning to play this Friday in the charity hockey game in Chicago before heading to Europe," explained Brisson.

Appearing in all 82 games for the Blackhawks last season, Kane had 23 goals and 66 points. Kane had four assists in Chicago's first-round playoff loss to the Phoenix Coyotes.

Biel is currently 7th overall in the National League A standings.
