TORONTO -- UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo will face former lightweight title-holder Frankie Edgar at UFC 156 on Feb. 2 in Las Vegas.

The two were slated to meet at UFC 153 in Rio de Janeiro before Aldo was forced to withdraw due to injury.

Now they will fight on the UFC's annual Super Bowl weekend card.

In other UFC news, welterweight Matt Riddle has replaced the injured Stephen (Wonderboy) Thompson at UFC 154 at the Bell Centre in Montreal on Nov. 17.

Riddle was slated to meet Besam Yousef but the UFC announced Wednesday that the Swede was injured and has been replaced by Britain's John Maguire.

BYE-BYE BONNAR: Stephan (The American Psycho) Bonnar has retired from MMA at 35.

"Huge thanks to every UFC fan out there! All I ever wanted was to bring ya'll some fun...hope u were entertained. Peace, love, & violence!" Bonnar said via Twitter and Facebook.

Bonnar (17-8) leaves on the back of a 205-pound loss to middleweight champion Anderson Silva on Oct. 13. Bonnar had been contemplating retirement before that bout but agreed to fight when matched with a star of Silva's stature.

He is perhaps best known for his epic 2005 battle with Forrest Griffin in the finale of Season 1 of "The Ultimate Fighter" reality show, a bloody fight that is credited with helping spread the popularity of MMA.

SCORE CARD: Welterweights Brandt Dewsbery (10-1) and Ryan Dickson (4-0) will face off Nov. 23 in Hamilton on a Score Fighting Series card. Also that night, lightweight Alex Ricci will tackle series newcomer Kevin Morin. The main event pits Jordan (Young Gun) Mein against Forrest (The Meat Cleaver) Petz.
