MONTREAL - Nova Scotia's Brent MacDougall has qualified for the round robin at the Canadian Mixed Curling Championship.
MacDougall scored three points in the sixth end to beat Steve Fecteau of Yukon 8-5 on Thursday.
The result moved MacDougall into the next round, while Fecteau will have one more shot at qualifying for the tournament.
Fecteau will face Nunavat's Ed Sattelberger on Friday after Sattelberger eliminated Newfoundland and Labrador's Kenny Young 10-8.
Round robin play between 12 teams begins Saturday.
