WILKES-BARRE, Pa. -- Riley Holzapfel scored a late power-play goal to help the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins edge the Toronto Marlies 2-1 in American Hockey League play Saturday.

Holzapfel beat Marlies goaltender Ben Scrivens at 17:11 in the third to put the Penguins ahead for good.

Simon Despres also scored for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (10-7-0), while goalie Jeff Zatkoff stopped 31 shots

Will Acton had the lone goal for Toronto (9-7-1), and Scrivens finished with 23 saves.
