Tristan Jarry made 37 saves and Henrik Samuelsson scored twice Wednesday as the Edmonton Oil Kings downed the Kamloops Blazers 5-2 in the Western Hockey League.
Curtis Lazar, Cole Benson and Mitch Moroz had the other goals for Edmonton (20-7-5), while Cody Corbett, Keegan Lowe, David Musil and Dylan Wruck each had two assists.
Aaron Macklin and Tim Bozon replied for Kamloops (25-8-3), which saw its winning streak snapped at four games. Cole Cheveldave stopped 30 shots in taking the loss.
Elsewhere in the WHL it was: Saskatoon 5, Moose Jaw 2; Calgary 2, Red Deer 1; and Kelowna 3, Lethbridge 1.
At Edmonton, Lazar opened the scoring for the Oil Kings at 13:31 of the first, finding a gap and cutting into the middle on the power play before lifting a shot over Cheveldave.
Macklin tied the score at 13:40 of the second, pouncing on a loose puck in the slot and slipping a shot past Jarry.
Edmonton restored its lead at 17:37 on a fortunate bounce. Lowe's point shot deflected off the Blazers' Sam Grist and right onto the stick of Benson, who made no mistake.
The Oil Kings extended their lead to 4-1 as Samuelsson deflected a Musil point blast at 1:48 of the third period before firing a wrist shot past Cheveldave at 7:31.
Bozon brought Kamloops back within two at 14:22, but that margin was short-lived as Moroz deflected Corbett's rocket to make it 5-2 Edmonton just 12 seconds later.

At Moose Jaw, Sask., Shane McColgan, Josh Nicholls and Matej Stransky each had a goal and an assist as the Blades (17-14-1) kept their hot streak going be beating the Warriors (12-15-7).

At Red Deer, Alta., Brooks Macek and Victor Rask scored goals 26 seconds apart in the third period as Calgary (21-7-4) topped the Rebels (19-12-3).

At Lethbridge, Alta., Jordan Cooke made 20 saves as Kelowna upended the Hurricanes (16-15-5).
