Manitoba uses two big ends to beat Nova Scotia at Juniors

FORT MCMURRAY, Alta. -- Manitoba's Matt Dunstone scored three in the fourth and eighth ends Saturday to beat Nova Scotia's Stuart Thompson 9-4 in semifinal action at the Canadian junior curling championship.

Dunstone will face Alberta's Thomas Scoffin in the men's final later Saturday night (TSN, 7pm et/4pm pt), with the winner representing Canada at the world championship in Sochi, Russia.

If Dunstone wins, he will secure Manitoba it's first junior title in 11 years.

The women's playoffs will take place Sunday with Manitoba's Shannon Birchard facing Ontario's Jamie Sinclair in semifinal action.

The winner will take on B.C.'s Corryn Brown in the final later Sunday night.
