SOLEFTTEA, Sweden -- Canada's Mark Arendz captured his third medal of the para-nordic world championships, racing to third place in the biathlon Sunday.

The native of Springtown, P.E.I., who had won a gold and bronze earlier in the week, was sixth-fastest in the skiing Sunday, but strong shooting guaranteed him a podium finish.

"I'm really excited to see Mark's progress in his skiing times, he can now push himself really hard to add to his strong shooting ability," said Canada's para-nordic coach Robin McKeever.
