Toronto Maple Leafs defenceman John-Michael Liles sufferd an ankle sprain in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Bruins and will not make the trip to Boston for the second game of the home-and-home series.
The 32-year-old Liles is listed as day-to-day.
Liles left Saturday's game in the second period following an awkward collision with winger Daniel Paille. He skated off the ice and headed to the Maple Leafs' dressing room favouring his left leg. He was limping considerably and required assistance from the team trainer as he went for medical attention.
He did not return for the third period.
Liles rejoined the Maple Leafs on March 14 after sitting out 12 games as a healthy scratch. Since his return, he has recorded no points and is a minus- 2 through four games.
