MANCHESTER, England -- Yaya Toure has signed a new four-year deal at Manchester City, keeping the powerful Ivory Coast midfielder at the English champions until 2017.
The 29-year-old Toure joined City from Barcelona in 2010 and played an integral role in City's Premier League-winning campaign last year.
He says "I want to continue winning titles and trophies and continue to make history. I have enjoyed all of my time here and can't wait for the next chapter."
Toure is the reigning African Player of the Year and plays at City with his brother, Kolo.
