Toronto Maple Leafs forward Joffrey Lupul sat out his fifth consecutive game due to a concussion Monday night.

Earlier in the day, head coach Randy Carlyle said Lupul would be available on Monday night with the struggling New Jersey Devils in town but the 29-year-old forward was kept out of the lineup.

"The decision will be whether he feels he's 110 per cent," Carlyle said following the morning skate. "If he's only 100 [per cent] he won't play."

Lupul has missed the past four games with a concussion. The 29-year-old last had reported concussion symptoms on Tuesday, returning to the ice on Thursday before skating each of the following four days, including at Monday's morning skate.

Lupul has played in only 10 games this season but has amassed eight goals and six assists in that time.
