Munz: Jets begin two-game road trip against Sabres

The (23-19-3) Winnipeg Jets begin a two-game road trip in Buffalo against the (19-20-6) Sabres.
 
Winnipeg trails Washington by four points for first place in the Southeast Division standings and are three points back of Ottawa and the New York Rangers in the Eastern Conference standings for seventh and eighth places respectively.
 
Ondrej Pavelec will start in goal.
 
Olli Jokinen and Zach Bogosian did not make the trip due to injuries sustained in Saturday's 5-4 shoot out loss to the Islanders.
 
Antti Miettinen will replace Jokinen, while Derek Meech draws in for Bogosian.
 
Andrew Ladd, who was named the NHL's first Star of the Week, is on a seven-game point streak (four goals & 10 assists).
 
Blake Wheeler (three goals and eight assists) and Bryan Little (two goals and eight assists) are on six-game point streaks.
 
Jhonas Enroth will start in goal for Buffalo, who are coming off an 8-4 loss at home to the New York Rangers Friday.
 
Christian Ehrhoff is on a four-game point streak (one goal and four assists).
 
Tyler Ennis is on a three-game point streak (one goal & three assists).
 
Cody Hodgson has scored in back to back games, while Drew Stafford has a goal and assist in his last six periods of hockey.
 
Winnipeg has a 2-0 record against Buffalo this season outscoring the Sabres 6-2.  Ladd and Little lead the Jets with three points each in those games.
 
Following tonight's game, the Jets fly to Washington and play the Capitals tomorrow (TSN 1290 / TSN Jets).
