Jets agree to terms on contract with prospect Brassard

The Winnipeg Jets agreed to terms with forward Austen Brassard on a contract on Saturday.

Brassard scored 14 goals and added 19 assists for 33 points in 62 games with the Belleville Bulls of the Ontario Hockey League. The Windsor, ON native added six goals and six assists in 17 playoff games.

The 20-year-old right-winger has played in 246 career OHL games between Belleville and Windsor for 147 career points (70G, 77A) and 288 career penalty minutes.

Brassard was drafted by the Jets in the fifth round, 149th overall, in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
