New Jersey Devils forward David Clarkson will be among the players testing unrestricted free-agency on July 5th, after the expiration of his most recent contract.

The Devils offered Clarkson an extension prior to the midnight deadline, but it did not result in a deal between the two sides.

Last season, the final year of a three-year deal, Clarkson made $3 million on a contract with a $2.667 million cap hit.

In 48 games during the lockout shortened 2012/13 season, the Toronto native scored 15 goals and added nine assists.

Clarkson was signed as an undrafted free-agent in 2005 by the New Jersey Devils and has played his entire career with the franchise.

In 426 career games, the 29-year-old forward has 97 goals and 73 assists.
