The St. Louis Blues have agreed to terms with defenceman Jordan Leopold on a two-year contract.
The deal is worth a total of $4.5 million carrying an annual average value of $2.25 million.
Leopold scored two goals and eight assists in 39 combined regular season games with the Blues and the Buffalo Sabres in 2012-13. The Blues acquired Leopold from the Sabres on March 30 for a pair of draft picks.
The 31-year-old American has appeared in 625 career NHL games with the Blues, Sabres, Calgary Flames, Colorado Avalanche, Florida Panthers and Pittsburgh Penguins, scoring 65 goals and 139 assists.
He was originally drafted in the second round (44th overall) of the 1999 Entry Draft by the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim.
