Heading into their Labour Day rematch, both the Toronto Argonauts and Montreal Alouettes are going to be without key offensive players.
Argonauts SB Chad Owens and Alouettes RB Brandon Whitaker have both been placed on the one-game injured list and will be out of action on Sunday.
Owens was roughed up in the Argos' 20-9 defeat to the Alouettes on Tuesday, needing treatment twice after hurting his neck and taking a hard shot to the abdomen.
Head coach Scott Milanovich said Friday that Owens would likely miss the rematch with bruised ribs.
In the same contest, Whitaker suffered a strained right hamstring that required a post-game MRI.
Whitaker had just returned to action after suffering a joint separation in his shoulder against the Edmonton Eskimos on July 25.
