It appears that the Toronto Argonauts will be without slotback Chad Owens again when they face the Saskatchewan Roughriders on Saturday.

Owens, who is suffering from bruised ribs, missed practice on Wednesday and head coach Scott Milanovich said he is doubtful to play this weekend. Owens was hurt during a game against Montreal on Sep. 3 and was forced to sit out the rematch betweens the teams on Sunday.

In other team news running back Chad Kackert (knee) took first-team reps and Milanovich says his status will determine other moves for the club. Kackert has been cleared medically and says this was his first test making hard cuts and is happy with how it felt.

Kicker Swayze Waters (groin) is eligible to come off the nine-game injured list this week and there's a good chance he will play. Waters said his leg is feeling good and both his distance and strength are back. He was hurt during Toronto's first game of the season against Hamilton.
