Mustangs lead CIS football poll for second straight week

OTTAWA -- The Western Mustangs retained their position on top of the Canadian Interuniversity Sport football rankings for a second straight week Tuesday.

The Mustangs (7-0) received 20 first-place votes and 290 points in the latest poll. The Laval Rouge et Or (6-0) remained second and picked up 10 first-place nods.

The top five remained the same. The Calgary Dinos (6-0) were third, the Guelph Gryphons (6-0) were fourth and the Queen's Gaels (5-1) held on to the fifth spot.
