Munz: Kane, Pavelec return to the ice for matchup with Preds

The Winnipeg Jets look to get themselves back in the Central Division playoff race as they host the Nashville Predators.

The 7th place Jets trail the 5th place Predators by four points.  Nashville has two games in hand on Winnipeg.

Nashville has a 2-0 record against Winnipeg this season, outscoring the Jets 6-3.  Patric Hornqvist leads the Predators with two goals in those games, while goaltender Carter Hutton has both wins.  The Jets are 0-7 on the power play against Nashville.

Ondrej Pavelec (4-7-2, 3.09, .902) returns to the crease after watching Al Montoya start back-to-back games.

Evander Kane returns to the ice after not playing the last two games.

Nashville is coming off a 6-4 win in Denver over the Colorado Avalanche.  Colin Wilson led the Predators with two goals and two assists. 

This is the 4th of a seven game, 17 day road trip.

The Predators have earned seven of a possible 10 points in their last five games.

Thunder Bay, Ontario native Carter Hutton (4-1-1, 2.94, .908) starts his 6th straight game in goal due to the injury to Pekka Rinne.
