Corey Crawford is set to make his return to the Chicago Blackhawks net.

According to ESPNChicago.com, the 29-year-old netminder is expected to get the start in the Blackhawks road game against the New York Islanders Thursday night.

Crawford has missed the last 10 games with a lower-body injury, forcing the Hawks to rely on rookie back-up Antti Raanta.

Raanta has gone 10-1-3 this season with a 2.21 goals-against average and .913 save percentage.

The Blackhawks will continue to carry three goaltenders - Crawford, Raanta and Jason LaBarbera - on their upcoming two-game road trip that also includes a Friday night game against the New Jersey Devils.

"It's very short term," Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville told ESPNChicago.com. "We'll come out of the trip and make a decision. Antti is going to back up tomorrow. That's where we're at."
