Rush continue perfect start with victory over Swarm

ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Edmonton Rush extended their season-opening winning streak to seven games on Saturday, by downing the Minnesota Swarm 14-9 in National Lacrosse League.

Jeremy Thompson scored three times, while Mark Matthews, Riley Loewen and Zach Greer had two each for the Rush.

Curtis Knight, Chris Corbeil, Robert Church, Jarrett Davis and Nik Bilic got the other Edmonton goals.

Jordan MacIntosh had three goals for Minnesota (1-6). Callum Crawford and Logas Schuss scored twice, while Kiel Matisz and Josh Gillam also scored for the Swarm.

Aaron Bold made 37 saves for Edmonton.

Tyler Carlson stopped 18 of 26 shots for Minnesota, while teammate Zach Higgins blocked 15 of 20.
