It appears that plans to expand Toronto's BMO Field took another step forward on Wednesday.
According to The Toronto Sun, Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment and Toronto city officials provided renderings of the proposed 30,000-seat stadium that houses Toronto FC. The current structure seats 22,000 for soccer.
An MLSE spokesman stressed to The Sun that the meeting was an "early, early step in the city's process."
The Toronto Argonauts could also be tenants in the facility, which may undergo renovations after the upcoming MLS season. The Argonauts are looking for a place to play after their lease runs out at Rogers Centre in 2017.
Toronto FC may be forced to play elsewhere while some of the construction takes place.
The renderings showed the addition of an upper deck as well as roofing over the seating areas.
The cost of the renovation was not made available.
