ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The Edmonton Rush are one win away from a record 13-game win streak after defeating the Rochester Knighthawks 15-11 in National Lacrosse League play Saturday.
Curtis Knight and Mark Matthews each scored twice and had six assists for Edmonton, which improved to 12-0, tying the 2007 Knighthawks for longest NLL win streak.
Edmonton has one game remaining Sunday on the road against the Toronto Rock.
Jeff Cornwall, Jarrett Davis, Zack Greer also had two goals each for the Rush, while Brett Mydske, Chris Corbeil, Robert Church, John LaFontaine and Cory Conway added singles.
Rochester, which leads the East Division at 9-4, had two goals apiece from Craig Point, Cory Vitarelli, Cody Jamieson and Johnny Powless.
Edmonton goaltender Aaron Bold finished with 27 saves, while Matt Vinc stopped 26-of-39 shots for the Knighthawks before being replaced by Angus Goodleaf. He allowed two goals on 10 shots in relief.
