Rock clinch playoff spot with win over Wings

TORONTO - Rob Hellyer scored three goals and added five assists as the Toronto Rock clinched a playoff spot with a 10-9 victory over the Philadelphia Wings in National Lacrosse League action on Saturday.

Stephan Leblanc had three goals and an assist, Kasey Beirnes had two goals and two assists, Nick Diachenko scored a goal and helped on two more, and Josh Sanderson also scored for the Rock (7-9).

Kevin Crowley led Philadelphia (5-11) with four goals and two assists, and Jordan Hall had two goals and three assists. Stephen Hoad, Garrett Thul and Pat Saunders also scored for the Wings.

Toronto goaltender Brandon Miller made 48 saves for his second win in three starts. Philadelphia's Evan Kirk stopped 46 shots in the losing effort.
